Why do you practice yoga?

Yoga allows me to develop a greater awareness of my physical and mental self. By incorporating breathing, physical postures, and mindful focus, I am able to maintain a higher level of physical fitness, improved balance and coordination, better circulation, increased flexibility and mobility, as well as improved mental clarity. Practicing yoga provides an opportunity for me to relax both my body and mind while also providing relief from stress. The combination of breathing exercises with physical postures provide numerous health benefits such as strengthened immune system functioning and improved cardiovascular health.
